Brother and sister duo George Christodoulou and Diana Valsamis continue a family tradition that started over 40 years ago. Parents Con and Anna Christodoulou have established a legacy within the catering and hospitality industry dating back to 1977 and have now passed the baton onto their children. As co-owners George and Diana bring a wealth of knowledge to Jaaks and a warm dining experience reflecting their childhood. They are hands-on with the day to day running of the restaurant to ensure all aspects of the business is up to the highest standard.
Restaurant Manager, Harry Sarantidis, heads the front of house team. His knowledge of food and wine has been garnered from experiences both here and abroad. He leads a confident and knowledgeable team that will ensure each diner has an enjoyable and memorable experience.
We're thrilled to welcome back Executive Chef Arman Uz to lead the kitchen brigade at JAAKS. With over 30 years of industry experience, Uz brings a deep passion for flavour, authenticity, and innovation.
He began honing his craft in the breathtaking region of Cappadocia Turkey, training under some of the country's most celebrated chefs. After relocating to Sydney in 2004, he quickly made his mark at notable venues such as Cargo's Wharf Restaurant in Kiama and Babylon Rooftop in Sydney.
His culinary brilliance came to full expression during his time as Executive Chef of the Efendy Group, where he led the teams at Anason and the One-Hatted Maydanoz.
At JAAKS, Chef Uz champions a no-waste, nose-to-tail philosophy, sourcing fresh produce from local growers and fishermen to create dishes with integrity and sustainability at their core.
